MVA-Medical Volunteer Association
MVA is comprised of a dedicated Japanese recruitment department consisting of Japanese nationals experienced in the recruitment of Japanese volunteers as well as a Phase 1 recruitment department with local staff which specialises in the recruitment of non Japanese Phase 1 studies.
Japanese volunteers
There are currently 2,300 volunteers on our database (as of Dec 2009).
As entering the UK for the purpose of participating in a clinical trial violates UK immigration law, InCROM Europe only recruit Japanese volunteers who are already residing in the UK. To be entered onto the panel, a volunteer must confirm that they were born in Japan, that both their parents are Japanese and possess a Japanese passport upon registration.
Caucasian volunteers
MVA has established a recruitment collaboration with a volunteer recruitment agency which has a panel of over 12,500 healthy volunteers.
MVA also conduct on going recruitment for their own panel to supplement recruitment for specific studies.
Patient volunteers
Being situated within walking distance to the Royal London Hospital, it was a natural progression for InCROM Europe to team up with the hospital to further our ability to offer patient recruitment for studies, particularly for hospitalised Patient PK studies.
The Royal London and the NHS trust it is connected to, The Barts and The London (BLT) NHS Trust, have leading specialists throughout various fields and are heavily involved within the clinical trial industry. Our collaboration allows the Royal London to perform the patient recruitment and for InCROM Europe to perform the hospitalisation period of the study. The BLT Trust have particular expertise in
- Neurology (MS, Epilepsy, Migraine)
- Hepatitis
- RA/OA
- TypeⅡ DM
- Pain
